About
About Jerome Idaho Fence Pros
Jerome Idaho Fence Pros is a fence installation and repair company based at 154 1st Ave E in Jerome, ID, serving Jerome and the Magic Valley. We build wood, vinyl, chain link, aluminum, ornamental steel, farm, and livestock fence, along with driveway gates and commercial perimeter work.
What we build to
Fencing looks simple from the street and most of what determines whether a fence lasts is underground. We size post embedment to the panel's wind area rather than to a single default depth, extract old concrete footings instead of snapping posts off at grade, and specify hot-dip galvanized hardware rather than electroplated anywhere irrigation keeps a fence line wet. On agricultural work we build to the lawful-fence specification in Idaho Code 35-102 — post spacing, wire count, gauge, and heights — because whether a fence meets that standard affects liability when stock get out.
Why the ground here matters
Jerome County sits on Snake River Plain basalt capped with three to ten feet of windblown loess. On some lots a post hole augers cleanly to depth; on others it hits rock at twenty inches and needs a rock auger, a breaker, or a different approach entirely. We check that at the estimate rather than discovering it on install day, which is why our quotes reflect the ground you actually have.
The climate is the other half of it. Jerome runs from −25 °F to 110 °F on under ten inches of annual precipitation, and the valley gets steady wind with little to break it. That combination is hard on materials and harder on shallow posts — which is why most wind-failed fences we are called out to failed at the post, not the panel.
How we price
We publish cost ranges rather than making you call to find out whether you can afford us — the 2026 cost guide lays out per-foot pricing by material, and the cost calculator works from your own footage. Estimates are free and on-site, and you get a written per-foot price with gates and old-fence removal broken out as separate lines so you can compare it honestly against anyone else's bid.
If a repair is the better spend than a replacement, we say so on the estimate visit — including when that means the smaller job for us.
What we will not do
We will not quote a fence from a satellite photo, we will not leave old footings in the ground and shift the line over, and we will not tell you a fence needs replacing when a post reset would do. We also will not publish reviews we have not received or credentials we do not hold — if you do not see star ratings on this site, that is deliberate.
